Killers Came For Pou in His Bedroom

Belize City cops are also investigating the attempted murder of 22 year-old Clinton Pou, a cook from North Front Street.

Yesterday evening, he was at his home in the company of a women, and they were watching TV. The woman has told police that she briefly left him to go to the bedroom, and while she was in there, she heard 4 gunshots ring out. She immediately rushed back to the living room, and found Pou injured to the left hand, and the left side of his chest.

The shooter, described as a tall slim man, ran away and escaped. Police told us more about the case today:

"Yesterday, just after 5 p.m., police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where they observed Clinton Pou, 22 years-old, of a North Front Street address, suffering from gunshot wounds to his body. What police understand is that Mr. Pou was at his residence on North Front Street, when 2 male persons entered his residence, while he sitting in the hall. One of the male persons fire shots at his direction, causing injuries."

"Do you all have any ideas as a motive, sir?"

"That's another one that we're trying to establish what is the motive. We have spoken to Mr. Pou, and to other persons who inside of the house."

"Based on what he told us, he cannot recognize the person."
