Good Cops/Bad Cops
posted (March 6, 2019)
And so it is with the police department it seems that it's often one shot of bravery, and two shots of bribery, or some unscrupulous type of behaviour.

That's what it was in Ladyville on Monday when it was discovered that 6 police officers had allegedly raided a bag of shirts - which had been taken off a bus. The 6 officers, 5 males and one female were held in the Ladyville detention cell for 24 hours and then released.

Williams says some type of disciplinary action will be exacted:...

Reporter 1
"We received credible reports that a situation occurred in the Ladyville Police station where a load of t-shirts were taken off a bus and the t-shirts were shared out at the police station and only a small amount was returned."

Jules Vasquez- Reporter
"And six police officers were detained."

Chester Williams- Commissioner of Police
"Yes, we do have that complaint and Mr. Dawson has been tasked to deal with that investigation. And again, it will have to depend on what the complainant wants. But, even if the complainant doesn't want anything, we are still going to pursue the matter internally. I have given directives that the officers concerned must be placed on disciplinary charges and they must compensate the man for his shirts. If that is not done, then we will see what else we can do. But I can assure the public, it will not go unpunished."
