Inspector Assault Being Dealt With Internally
posted (March 6, 2019)
And while Williams is determined to charge those cops, he's not so eager to see charges brought against a police Inspector. That officer is accused of assaulting a constable. It allegedly happened in public when the constable allegedly failed to salute the senior officer and spoke to him disrespectfully.

The case has been lingering for weeks - and while reports to us say that constable asked for court action, the COMPOL says otherwise:..

Chester Williams- Police Commissioner
"As far as I am concerned, the matter is being dealt with. The constable in question has said that he does not want any court action and we are still waiting to see what will be the outcome of that."

Reporter
"Isn't that going against the grain of what you usually advocate for? That if there is a complainant you must pursue the matter? You did this with the people out there in San Pedro, with the young man. You in fact instigated that they come to you to file the complaint against the officers who wronged them."

Chester Williams
"Mr. Noble, don't confuse oranges and apples. The matter in San Pedro was police against civilian. The matter with Mr. Usher was police against civilian. The matter with the constable, that Mr. Vasquez spoke about, and the officer is police against police. It is apples and oranges. So, let us not confuse the two of them, okay? When it comes to officers who commit any misconduct against a member of the public, we will go hard at them. When it comes to internal issues, if we can resolve it internally, then we are going to do that. We are one organization."
