Rehabilitating “Pisshouse”
posted (March 6, 2019)
And while private sponsors are helping police upgrade the VCP booths, the Ministry of National Security is the one paying for the major rehabilitation at the Queen Street police station. As we've reported, police corporal Darrell tutsi Usher blew the whistle on his own department when he was detained there pending a criminal investigation. The pictures he posted on Facebook showed detestable un-hygenic conditions.

That seems to have lit the fire under the police top brass which shelled out big bucks for works which started a two weeks ago. Today, Compol Williams said that the work which is happening now had nothing to do with the Facebook post - he already had it planned:..

Chester Williams- Commissioner of Police
"I have said before that the cell block was going to be renovated. I am a man of action; when I say I am going to do something I do it. The cell block renovation is well underway, it should be finished in the next week or week and a half, and whenever it is done, I am inviting a representative from each media house to spend a night in the cell block. And you must tell me the next morning if it is suitable for the criminals to be in it."
