FFB: National Team Players Suspended After Fight
posted (March 7, 2019)
The aftershocks of that ugly fight on the Isidoro Beaton football pitch on Monday night are still being felt. The FFB this evening announced that two national team players who were involved in the fracas will be suspended for 6 months. Norman Anderson and Jarret Davis will face 6 months suspension from all National team activities. A statement form the FFB says "President...Sergio Chuc takes this opportunity to express his discontent with both players who are also National Team players."

Chuc also commends Kerry Gonzalez for exemplary conduct during the altercation. It was an ATLIB match between the University of Belize and Galen University and that body is still investigating. The Belmopan Bandits has said it will sanction its players who was involved. Police have indicated that charges for misconduct will likely not be brought against the off duty officer who used his gun to fire a warning shot.
