BWS Says Succotz Situation Being Regularised
posted (March 12, 2019)
BWS has released a statement in relation to the irregularly high water bills that Succotz residents have been getting. It states " BWS's internal investigation has established that the former meter reader, who is no longer employed with the company, appears to have falsified readings for several months by entering numbers slightly higher than the previous actual reading into the specialized hand-held meter reading device. It continue by saying "At the last reading cycle, the newly assigned meter reader, as per the established procedures, brought in the actual readings. This resulted in these customers receiving higher than normal bills. " The release makes a point to state "there are no errors in the customer's overall consumption since the water was consumed by each of the customers over the extended period. However, this has affected the distribution of the consumption, causing several lower monthly bills, followed by the latest higher bill." It ends by saying "realizing that this has adversely affected these customers, BWS is offering to meet with them to review their bill, and to offer a payment plan, if required, to clear the balance on their water bill.
