And, from Punta Gorda to San Pedro - a young man was killed last night on a deserted street - stabbed up and left for dead. 7News was on the island today and here's more from police and his family:

This is Blake Street in San Pedro town - a fairly deserted area - where last night at 11:00, a passerby in a vehicle saw a man dead on the road.
It turned out to be this teenager, 19 year old Horace Cadle:

"He was found motionless with apparent stab wounds to his body. He was found at Blake Street, San Pedro area. As a result of that, police commenced an investigation where they spoke to several persons. One of them has mentioned that he was on his way to his house, and whilst passing on Blake Street, he observed this male person suffering from several stab wounds, and he called for police. Mr Horace Cadle resides on Marina Drive, which is almost a quarter mile from where the incident happened. Police so far have detained several persons who are in custody, and who are being questioned in reference to this latest death."
His father told us he didn't even know his son had slipped out of the house. They had been living on the island for 10 years - but suddenly last week he showed up in Dangriga to see his mother.

"We talked a lot about everything that happened. He told his little sister that he loves her."
Reporter
"Looking back now, does it sound like he might have known something was going on?"
Ronna Miranda Norales, Mother
"Of course. From my gut feeling, he knew why he went and visit all the loved ones before this came along. He knew what was happening, but he never expressed it to anyone."
And from that mother's sense of foreboding to what the police know:

"We know that he was last seen socializing with a group of male persons in the DFC Area, which is about a quarter mile [from] where his body was found. Police in that area have viewed several cameras, and it showed that he was walking by himself. Up to this moment, we can't establish if it was 1 person or more than 1 person who were involved in the stabbing death."
Cadle - a Belize City native - grew up on the island.
