Driver Under Scrutiny
posted (March 25, 2019)
Police say that Larios was half way across the road when the driver hit him:

ACP Joseph Myvette - Head of NCIB
"On Friday last, sometime around 9:30pm, Belmopan police responded to an information of a fatal traffic accident around mile 25 on the Hummingbird Highway. Upon their arrival, they met one, Henrich Froze who reported to them that he was traveling in his Silverado pick up in a northerly direction when he knocked down a male person later identified as Carlos Larios, 26 years old, who attempted to cross the highway. As a result, Mr. Frooze was detained and samples taken from him and he was served with a notice of intended prosecution pending the outcome of the investigation. It is evident from the scene that the pedestrian was knocked down whilst almost in the middle of the road crossing."

Again, we'll be following up on charges.
