Last night we told you about Anthony Carballo Jr., the Tigris Street resident who was charged for last week's double murder in San Pedro. Police said he flew out to the island on Thursday morning to carry out the execution in the afternoon.
Well, today he was processed at the Belize City Magistrate's Court before he was sent up to the prison on remand. That visit confirmed that Carballo just came off a murder charge last year.
In May of 2018, Carballo was accused when Jermaine McNab was killed inside his hardware store in Belize City. Carballo Jr was released after 6 years on remand when Carballo said that his confession statement was given after police tasered him. Justice Colin Williams ruled the caution statement inadmissible.
He now goes back on remand.
