A three year old was rushed to the KHMH today after a terrible mishap in the Mopan river.  It happened when his family was crossing the river in Esperanza Village.  Reports say that David Landero and his wife Amy Cunil were crossing the river with three  children in the dorey when it sank.  They quickly grabbed two of the kids - but a third - a three year old - was swept away in the currents.  

Someone on the river bank pulled him out and tried to administer CPR - but without any success. They then rushed the unconscious child to the nearest hospital, which is Loma Luz.  

Doctors there reportedly resuscitated him and he was then rushed to the KHMH.  We’ll have an update on Monday.
