San Victor Village in the Corozal District is one of the top contraband hotspots in the country, and that was proven today in an early morning raid when police conducted a major operation and came up with a huge bust of beers and soda's. Â
Between 5:00 and 7:30 am, Corozal and Orange Walk police searched a residence and found 128 cases of Suprerior, Tecate and Dos Equis beers, along with two cases of large coke, and a 15 horsepower outboard motor.  In the search of an abandoned home, they found a 16 gauge shotgun and 16 guage cartridges. Â
One well known smuggler is detained pending investigation for uncustomed goods, whilst the shotgun and cartridges were labeled as found property.
The goods have been valued at $15,700 dollars and the alleged smugglers has indicated that he wants to settle matter out of court for a substantial fine.
