He was killed last Thursday night when a man stormed into his house and shot him 8 times, while his friend, 30 year old Israel Pimentel was shot once. Police told us about Pimentel's condition and the murder investigation today:

ACP Joseph Myvett, Head, National Crimes Investigation Branch
"Pimentelo is at the Southern Regional Hospital in a stable condition. So far we are following several leads and we are seeking one suspect in relation to this murder."

Reporter
"Motive for this murder?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"At this point in time we haven't been able to establish the motive."

Reporter
"Sir, is Mr. Reyes known to the police?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Yes he is."

Reporter
"Could you tell us in what way? Why we are asking is because according to the family, he used to transport people to and from Honduras and that it may have been as a result of an incident that happened several years ago?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"No, I will not go into the details of how he is known to the police other than to say that we are seeking one suspect in relation to the incident."

Reporter
"This one person that is being sought, is that person from Belize City?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Yes, we believe so."

Reporter
"There was apparently a white vehicle in use by the shooter to get away. I understand that has been impounded?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Yes it is."

Reporter
"And that's a Belize City vehicle?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"I will not say where the vehicle came from, other than to say we have one vehicle impounded in relation to the investigation."

Reports say the killer came from Belize City.
