A man is in critical condition tonight, after he was knocked down by a bus in Corozal today - near to the Santa Elena border. He is a 49 year old watchman from Paraiso Village, Jose Eliseo Cortez.
According to reports, Cortez was heading to Corozal from the border and was about a mile out of Corozal Town, when he was hit by a Silva's bus. Reports say the Silva's bus was headed in the same direction and it tried to overtake Cortez but ended up hitting him. Her survived the impact, but suffered major injury and is at the KHMH tonight in critical condition. We'll have an update on this tomorrow.
