ComPol Tours Police Force
posted (April 2, 2019)
Police Commissioner Chester Williams is wrapping up his Tour of police stations and facilities all across the country, where he inspected the specialized units, sections, branches and headquarters.

Williams used the tour to familiarize himself with the assets and facilities that the department has at hand. The ComPol and his senior command team also heard from the rank and file about their concerns.

Williams has also called a briefing for tomorrow in Belmopan where he will discuss the latest crime statistics. He's already getting congratulations from the National Security Minister John Saldivar, who notes that for this first quarter of 2019, murders are down, the lowest they've been since 2012.

By the Ministry's count, 31 murders have occurred up to March 31, which is 15 less than last year around this time. That's in spite of an inauspicious start to 2019, where there were 5 murders.
