Teenager Shot In Spate of Violence
posted (April 4, 2019)
Yesterday's youngest victim of violence in the same Fabers Road area was 15 year-old Emory Williams.

At around 5:30 p.m., he was at his home on Rio Grande Crescent, when someone went shouting for him in front of his house. As soon as he came out to see who it was, a gunman opened fire and shot him.

Here's more from police on this case:

ASP Alejandro Cowo - OC, CIB Belize City
"Sometime in the evening, at about 5:30, again, police visited the Karl Heusner Memorial Hospital, where they, where observed Emory Williams, 15 years-old, with an apparent gunshot wound to the body. What police gathered so far, is that at about 5:20, Emory Williams was inside his residence on Rio Grande Crescent, when someone was calling out. He came out to see who it was, and when he came out to the veranda, a male person was out there, who pulled out a firearm, and fired several shots at his direction, which caused the injuries to him. At this moment police is looking for 1 male person who can assist in this investigation. Mr. Williams is still admitted in a stable condition at the hospital."

Jules Vasquez
"A part of the rivalry going on in the area?"

ASP Alejandro Cowo
"We suspect that it is somewhat drug related, that led to this shooting incident. Again, it is involving the 2 groups in that area."
