An Armenia villager was charged after he was caught with an assortment of unlicensed lumber. 30 year old Walter Leonel Salazar was busted on Monday night around 6:25 at a Hattieville check point. Police searched the cargo truck and found 2000 board feet of assorted lumber, Salmwood and Mahogany, none of which Salazar had a license for. When he appeared today before Senior Magistrate Aretha Ford he pled not guilty to the charge of possession of forest produce. He was offered a bail of $2,000, which he met. If convicted Salazar is liable to pay a fine that would amount to 3 times the value of the lumber. Salazar said he was only hired to do the delivery.
