And two different sets of skeletal remains have been found in that same area - right behind Los Lagos in the last few weeks. Police still haven't confirmed if the remains found a week ago are those of Maurice Richards, the 82 year old who went missing in late 2017. One of the key clues was supposed to be a pair of dentures found with the skeletal remains behind Los Lagos. We asked Cowo if they were a match for the set of dentures Richards had left at home:..

"They are alleging that it has a similarity as to what their relative had. However, it cannot be ascertain fully. We are still awaiting for the DNA test to be done so that we can confirm in deed if that was the person that was reported almost a year and a half."

"Since there is no investigation of homicide at this point right? So then is there any correlation between the skull and the skeleton?"
ASP Alejandro Cowo
"No, as we mentioned, the examination of the skull that revealed according to the post-mortem that the doctor conducted, it is a young male person. This other skeletal remain is of an aged adult person, male likewise, so I don't believe that there is any connection. Maybe it is a coincidence that both were almost in the same location where one was found and the other remains of the other skeleton. Remember there had been several missing persons in that area. There was one in 2015, that up to now we cannot establish - a resident of Los Lagos who was reported missing since then and we have not establish exact location where he was last seen. We only know that it was around that area. We cannot if its his remains. As I mentioned we are awaiting for DNA results to confirm certain things."

"Will you all scan the area? I mean two sets of human remains have been found in a very tight radius - 30-50 feet from each other."

"Yes, police have checked the area. After the remains were found they got in contact with the family and family members went with the police and they were able to find 2other small pieces of bones. That was all that was located, but police continue to go in that area to see of there is anything else."
