At around 2 p.m., the Cayo cops were called to Julie's Hardware Store, which was robbed by 2 Hispanic men. Police told us today that one of those thieves showed up to the business place with a sack of pint bottles, and pretended that he was there to sell it to the business owner:

"On Tuesday, the 16th of April, 2019, just after 2 p.m.,San Ignacio police visited July's Hardware, located on Bluebird Street, San Ignacio Town, where they spoke to Maria Frazer. She reported to the police that while she was inside of the business establishment, 2 male persons entered the said establishment. These 2 male persons are of clear complexion, suspected to be Hispanic descent. One of them had bag of of pint bottles, which he took there to the store. And whilst she was speaking to the male person, he pulled out a firearm and pointed it at her, and thereafter, robbed her of a cellular phone, a tablet, and a small amount of cash. thereafter, the 2 male persons left onboard of a motorcycle. So far, police have not detained anyone, and we do not no the identity of the 2 robbers."
