More Arson In Toledo
posted (April 25, 2019)
Cops from Toledo have their hands full investigating more cases of arson. The report now is of 2 suspected cases of arson in village fires.

The first one happened at around 12:45 a.m. yesterday in the village of San Jose. 44 year-old Margarita Pop, a business woman who owns the bar, Margarita's Cool Spot, closed up for the end of the workday at around 11:30 p.m. She headed to her house, which is located on the same property, and 1 hour and 15 minutes later, she woke up to her bar burning.

It's a bungalow building with a thatched roof, and though she and her neighbors tried, they could not stop the fire from destroying it. The cops told us today that they did manage to save an adjoining building:

ACP Joseph Myvette - Head, NCIB
"On Tuesday the 24th of April, sometime around 12:30 a.m., police were called to San Jose Village in the Toledo district at the home of one Margarita Pop. Upon arrival, a thatched building was seen completely destroyed by fire. It was reported to the police that Margarita Pop locked up and secured her building sometime around 10 p.m., and thereafter, went to sleep in the same yard, as there are 3 buildings in the yard. Sometime around 12:30 a.m., she was awakened by her son [explaining] that the building, which houses Margarita's Cool Spot was on fire. As a result, herself along with other neighbors tried to extinguish the fire, and was Abel to save the adjoining building to the bar. The building does not have any electricity, and at this point in time, arson is being suspected. We are following several leads, however, we do not have any named suspect as yet."
