Weeks ago we told you how the Belize Bus Association was none too happy with Transport Minister, Edmond Castro, after a Guatemalan bus started making daily runs out of the Novelo's bus terminal in Bel;Belize City.
Well, Castro met with the association today. A press release says they offered proposals on how to resolve the issues in their favour. The ministry press release adds that Castro accepted their proposals in principle, and that there are pending further discussions on the topic between the Ministry of Tourism and the Department of Transport.
Thomas Shaw, the President of Belizean Bus Association, is quoted as saying that the meeting was open and constructive, and that bus owners are optimistic that the matters discussed will be addressed in a satisfactory manner.
