And there's some more really good sporting news for Belize. Belize's National Cricket Selection - which we told you about on Friday - emerged victorious from the Central American Championships tournament in Mexico.
A press release from the Cricket Association says Team Belize defeated Mexico, Panama and Costa Rica and lost to MCC from England during the regular games. In a thrilling and tight championship game, Team Belize defeated MCC. MCC batted 137 runs and Team Belize scored 138 in the nineteenth over. 17 year old Gareth Banner Jr. was the youngest player in the tournament and played outstandingly.
Belize Cricket next hopes to compete against the South American Champions.
