Tonight, police continue to search for a Belmopan man after his common-law wife reported that he attacked and stabbed her at her job site on Sunday.
The victim, Alba Chavez, reported to police that she was on her work shift in the San Martin Area of Belmopan, when her common-law husband came at her with a knife and stabbed her several times.
Here's what police had to say about the case:

"On Sunday, shortly before midnight, Belmopan police responded to an information of a stabbing victim at the Western Regional Hospital. Upon arrival, they observed a Hispanic female, later identified as Alba Chavez, with several stab wounds. Initial police investigation reveal that she was at her workplace, somewhere in the San Marin Area of Belmopan, where she was approached by her common-law husband who inflicted several stab wounds. So far, Mr. Sanchez has not been found, and police are seeking him in relation to this investigation."

"Has the victim shed any light as to what caused the conflict?"

"Apparently, Mr. Sanchez was under the influence when he entered her workplace."

"Is there any history of domestic violence between this couple?"

"None that we know about that is recorded."
That common-law husband has been identified as Jose Sanchez, not to be confused with the news reporter from Love FM. Police say that they are looking for Sanchez at this time.
