PM Optimistic About ICJ
posted (May 6, 2019)
Wednesday is the ICJ Referendum Day - and voters, activists and political operators are getting ready to cast what may be the most important vote of their lives.

And while the public campaigning veers between fear-mongering and hope-hungering - the Prime Minister today told us that, overall, he's optimistic:…

Rt. Hon. Dean Barrow, Prime Minister
"I am certainly cautiously optimistic. I think that Belizeans get what time it is that there is no alternative, that the fearmongering can be effective, but that in the end even if you conceived that you're taking a bit of a chance - it's not much of a chance when you look at it and see what it is that the court is obliged to do and I think that in the end will win out and the vote will be yes. That's my optimistic point of view."
