When you talk about parliament, the first thing that usually comes to mind is the House of Representatives and all the long, raw and heated debates that are held inside the house. Well, parliament is much more than a gathering of rowdy politicians and the 7th Secretary General of the Commonwealth Parliamentary Association, Akbar Khan came to Belize to emphasize that point. Sec Gen. Khan focused on educating the public, specifically students about the role of parliament and also to engage Belizean parliamentarians on how to improve in their functions.
