"Corozal police were called to an area on Tenth Avenue and Fourth Street North responding to a stabbing incident where upon arrival they observed a dark complexion female lying on the side of the street apparently motionless. Her name was later learnt to be Anna Villanueva, 19 years old. As a result, she was taken to the Corozal Community Hospital where she died whilst undergoing treatment. So far what police was able to gather is that sometime after 11pm the deceased was socializing at a home on Fourth Street North when the accused one Zennia Armstrong passed on a bicycle and uttered several words to the deceased. She then rode pass and later returned some 15-20 minutes later whilst the deceased was leaving the residence where she was socializing in order to go to her home. As a result, she was attacked by Zennia Armstrong who inflicted a stab wound to her left upper chest. So far, Zennia Armstrong, who is the accused, is in police custody and police have since recovered one knife from the area of the scene. Our investigation into this matter continues."

ACP Joseph Myvett
"There have been several information coming to the police, all of which we are making checks on. We believe that alcohol was certainly a factor in this incident."

Andrea Polanco, reporter
"Sir is there a history of dispute between these two women?"

ACP Joseph Myvett
"None reported. That was also reported to the police that there have been previous incidents between both parties, however, no official report was made in that regard."

ACP Joseph Myvett
"That we don't know, but however we know that the accused does live in that almost immediate vicinity."

As you heard, police are still investigating how Armstrong got the weapon but reports are that she brought the knife with her and it was a planned attack. We'll let you know if and when she is charged.
