Rivalries In UDP Caribbean Shores
posted (May 14, 2019)
Since last week Wednesday when Caribbean Shores voters said an emphatic "yes" to the ICJ, there's been exhilaration in the UDP - fueling all kinds of fantasies of re-taking that division for the red.

And, suddenly, a seat that has a duly endorsed standard bearer in Darrell Bradley is up for grabs. Santino Castillo - who was the last UDP elected Rep in Caribbean Shores has already publicly expressed his interest, and solid reports say former city Councilor, Leila Peyrefitte is also very interested.

But what's interesting most here is that leader-hopeful John Saldivar is supporting Castillo, while the other leader-hopeful Patrick Faber is reportedly supporting Peyrefitte - though his camp would not confirm this.

Now, the question is whether there will be a contested convention - or whether higher - ups in the party will step in and tell either candidate to stand down. We'll keep watching it, but, so far, they haven't even gotten over the first hurdle. And that's getting Darrell Bradley to step aside.
