Man Killed Two Months After Getting Off Double Murder
posted (May 28, 2019)
Was Alejandro Louriano's murder an act of retaliation in a cycle of family on family violence ? That's one theory after the 21 year old, who got off a double murder charge in March of this year, was killed last night at a relative's home in Lucky Strike Village. Courtney Weatherburne has more on this killing.

Courtney Weatherburne reporting
Alejandro Louriano's final handy-man job was to repair this refrigerator at a Lucky Strike fast food joint. He never completed it.

Carmelina Divas, Resident
"The man came yesterday morning to fix a refrigerator and from there he left and then he returned in the evening to say that he would come back this morning to finish the job and in the morning when I got up I asked my son if the guy had come already and he said no. After that, they called my son in law, and he said they killed him."

It was startling news for Divas and those in the neighborhood who knew Louriano as a decent guy.

Santos Vasquez, Resident
"I ended up knowing him because he do a little job right here and well to me he was a sweet boy, he had respect and everything, I knew him."

Well someone didn't think much of Louriano at all because he was murdered last night in this yard. He was shot to the stomach and stabbed to the neck.

ASP Alejandro Cowo, OC, CIB
"What police has gathered so far is that Mr. Louriano was in the company of another male person outside of the yard when the person left to use the latrine and while he was inside the latrine, he heard a gunshot and he heard Mr. Louriano screaming for help. Upon him exciting and coming out of the yard he observed Mr. Louriano motionless on the ground."

Louriano's killing may be linked to the March 2018 double murder of 64 year old Theresita Flowers and Delcia Blanco. They were both shot and killed inside Flowers' Tibruce Street home. He was charged for that double murder but was later set free.

ASP Alejandro Cowo
"Yes he is the same person about a year ago, the charges were withdrawn from him based on the advice of the DPP's office and he was released. We understand he was staying in San Ignacio and just recently moved to Lucky Strike Village."

"We are looking as to exactly what would motivate this person to carry out this attack on Mr. Louriano but from his release from prison we know he had been receiving threats by the other family members regarding the charges that were levied on him last year."

One person from the village has been detained.

In March of 2018, Lauriano had been charged for the double murder of 17 year old Delcia Blanco and 64 year old Theresita Flowers.

So, how did he go from being charged for one of the biggest double murders of 2018 to being a free man? Well, on March 8, 2019 he appeared in court where the directives came from the DPP's office in the form of a memo in which she instructed the court to withdraw both charges. The reason? Due to insufficient evidence as it related to identification of the accused shooter.
