Contraband was flowing this weekend in Cayo - and police cut out a piece of the action.
On Saturday, the cops were patrolling Santa Elena when they saw a woman selling Brahva Beers - which is a Guatemalan brew. They picked her up and went to search her house where they found seven cases of Corona Beers six cases of Sol beers, and one case of Brahva Beer, all hidden under the sofa set inside the hall area. There were also beers in the refdigerator.
The beers are believed to have originated at the Benque Viejo Free Zone, or come right across the Mopan River.
