20 Year Old Shot In West

And in our last story from today's police press conference, the cops discussed a shooting from Tuesday night in Armenia Village, which left 20 year-old Edin Perez hospitalized with multiple gunshot wounds.

Here's what the police had to say about that incident:

ACP Joseph Myvette - Head, NCIB
"On Tuesday night, shortly before midnight, Belmopan police responded a shooting incident, but first, visiting the visiting the Western Regional hospital where they met one Edin Garcia Perez, 20 years-old, of Armenia Village, which gunshot injuries. Perez reported to police that sometime around 9 p.m., while to he was inside his home, he was called out of his home, where he got his flash light and opened his door, and upon entering his veranda, he observed 4 male persons, who he recognized, one of whom fired several shots toward his direction, causing his injuries. So, far police are seeking 4 persons in relation to this investigation."

"Indications from the village chairman is that the victim is a hard-working person, and isn't a problem or a troublesome person. Has police unearthed a motive about why this person was targeted?"

"Well, we are following several leads, and we are also looking at several motives based on the information, we have been given, which at this point in time, I am not in a position to disclose those motive, until a proper motive has been established."

Police say that they're looking for 4 suspects.
