New Building At Paslow Site
posted (June 3, 2019)
The historic Paslow building burned down in September of 2002 and since then - there's just been an empty lot at the foot of the swing bridge, mostly used for parking.

Well now, as part of the Downtown Rejuvenation Project a new building is going up at that location. The Ministry of Tourism signed a contract with Eric Martinez and Son Construction and Design Ltd. for the construction of a new ferroconcrete building.

It's a two-storey and it will host a Tourist Welcome Center and vendor booths on the first floor with offices and a Café on the second. There will be parking in the rear. Construction will commence in June 2019 and is projected to be completed at the end of 2019.

There's no name announced for the new building but it is being called The Paslow site development. We note that the previous namesake was a slave owner, convicted of mutilating his slaves.
