Rage On Rocky Road
posted (June 6, 2019)
Now, after he was sentenced, Armstrong said he quit the gang life about a year ago, but said police still believe he is a gang member because he lives in the neighborhood.

And when he went back to that neighborhood this evening after pleading guilty - the police were right back there too - he says, looking to detain him again.

They called our newsroom and we found Brian Armstrong in an explosive, emotional state:...

Brian Armstrong, Guilty to Charge of being gang member
"I want to know if Chester is God. He is brining all kind of rules taking us lightly. Rocky Road is not giving any trouble. If we want to give any problem we can kill anyone here, but we are not into that. I want them (police) to back off from all of us - all of my boys, because we are not giving any problems. We build a gate to hang inside. We don't hang on the street corner. They (police) come in our yard and told us that we can't hang inside. So are on the street or on the sidewalk? They just charged me $3,500, or unless 3 year imprisonment for what? For being a gang member? I am in my house. If I move from Rocky Road where am I going to go live? They will kill me. They already shot at me on Albert Street. I cant walk anywhere. None of us here cannot go anywhere and now they want to charge us for being a gang member? We are not in that."

Up to when we left, the police had not returned.
