And while Jazzfest is playing in Belize, the country's most celebrated band has embarked on its biggest tour yet.
The Garifuna Collective launched its North American and European tour tonight in Switzerland at the Afropfingsten Festival.
They play in Berlin tomorrow, and continue through the summer and fall, in support of their new album, ABAN.
The tour includes stops at many of the biggest and best festivals in Europe. The North American tour begins on July 12th in Montana, with stops at the Calgary Folk Fest, The Cleveland Museum of Art, and New York City's Summerstage. We'll be following the band with very regular updates.
