There was also another shooting yesterday which happened in Dangriga Town, and Police Commissioner Chester Williams told the media what they know about the incident so far:

"Yesterday morning around 6:45 thereabout, police responded to an incident on Riverside Street, Dangriga Town. Upon arrival, they met one Tyrone Flores suffering from a single gunshot injury to the shoulder. He was taken to the Southern Regional Hospital where he was admitted for treatment in a stable condition. He reported to the police that he was on Riverside Street when he was accosted by a lone gunman who fired one shot at him causing the said injury. Police have since detained one individual and that person is expected to be charged sometime today with the crime of attempted murder."

"Sir, was there any argument between the victim and the suspect?"

"Not from our investigation."

"No, it seems to be an old, outstanding issue between them."
