Today is World Refugee Day where the plight of over 70 million displaced people worldwide is taken into account. Here in Belize this was noted with a Refugee Storytelling Expo at the Kiki Witz Resort outside Belmopan.
It's an interesting project where children who are refugees and asylum seekers, were children living in Belize, were given cameras for a day to document their lives through photographs. The stories tell os displacement, resilience and the perseverance of hope.
