posted (June 21, 2019)
For several months now, he been wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of 25 year-old Samuel Castro, and the shooting of 24 year-old Justin Diaz. But tonight, 29 year-old Juan Carlos Quintero is in police custody, and reliable reports to 7News are that he has been criminally charged with attempted murder.

He was caught yesterday evening by a joint patrol of police officers from the Special Branch, the Special Patrol Unit, and the Quick Response team. Best information suggests that this team of police caught him at the home of several relatives of his, which is located on Santa Rosa Street in Orange Walk. It is believed that after those 2 incidents happened in October last year, Quintero absconded across the border into Mexico, where he has since been hiding out.

Sources tell us that he was arrested and charged with attempted murder and use of deadly means of harm for the Diaz shooting.

On October 1st, 2018, Diaz was on his way home when 2 men on a motorcycle rode up and shot him 4 times. Minutes later, Samuel Castro was sitting on his motorcycle, and he was waiting in front of a fenced yard on Muffles Street. That's when 2 men rode up on motorcycle, and one of them shot and killed Castro.
