Man Drowns In Red Bank
posted (June 24, 2019)
So, while the cops try to find the culprits in that daring robbery, they don't think that any crime was committed in the death of man who drowned in Red Bank, which is near the southern edge of the Stann Creek District.

At this time, it is believed that he jumped into the river for a swim, before his friends arrived, and when they got there, they ended up finding his body in the water.

Here's more from police.

ACP Joseph Myvett
"Yesterday afternoon around 3pm, police were called to an area in Red Bank, along the river bank, where they observed the apparent motionless body of a male person later identified as Jamie Cayetano whose other particulars are unknown at this time. He was transported to the Independence Polyclinic where he was pronounced dead on arrival. What the police know so far is that Cayetano, along with two other persons, had left to the area to swim and he apparently jumped into the water before those two other persons and they later found his body beneath the water and he was brought to shore. An attempt was made to resuscitate him but it was unsuccessful."

There were no signs of violence on the victim's body.
