posted (June 27, 2019)
And, police also gave us a rundown on the bizarre and disturbing case of the woman who was handcuffed to a bed by an abusive boyfriend.

30 year-old Illona Coote says she was handcuffed and kept hostage in Vincent Pascasio's home for nine days between June 13th and June 22nd.

Police gave us their version:

ACP Joseph Myvette- Head of NCIB
"One Illona Coote visited the Belmopan police station where they observed facial injuries as well as injuries to her hands. She reported to police that on the 13th of June she was at her boyfriend's home, one Vincent Pascacio, in the Belmopan area. As a result, they got into an argument when she decided to leave and she was reportedly beaten up and later handcuffed. She remained at that area against her will until sometime on the 22nd of June when she was released. Police have since conducted an investigation into the matter where Mr. Vincent Pascacio has since been arrested and charged for the crime of kidnapping as well as wounding. The investigation is still ongoing and there may be other charges preferred against him."

Courtney Weatherborne- Reporter
"Is there any history of violence between this couple that police know about?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"None that we have on record to say that a report was made previous to this incident."

Reporter
"Sir, do you know if a missing report was made for the young lady?"

ACP Joseph Myvette
"No there was none."

Pascascio - who would leave her bound everyday and go to work - has been charged for wounding and kidnapping.
