posted (July 1, 2019)
At today's press briefing, here's police's response to the family's skepticism that they'll find his killer:

ASP Alejandro Cowo, O.C., C.I.B., Belize City
"Saturday morning just after 6:30am, police were called to 99 Neal Pen Road whereupon arrival behind a small house they observed the body of Mr. Llewellyn lying face up with injuries to his face and to the back of his head. The body was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival. What police gathered so far is that Mr. Crown had just left from his daughter's residence and had arrived at his house. Police also found that some of his belongings are missing and the house door was partially broken."

"We have spoken to a couple of his relatives and they suspect that he was robbed and then killed. Is that the current theory that your investigators have as well?"

ASP Alejandro Cowo
"We know that some of his belongings are missing. We cannot ascertain the exact amount of cash that was stolen from him. But we understand that his wallet and some monies are missing from him. We are looking at the angle of that possibility of him being robbed as we understand that on the previous morning he had collected some money for some rent from people that are living at his residence."

Reporter
"There are concerns from the family. They say that Mr. Crown suffered from certain mental ilnesses, that there will be not much done to solve the crime of his murder and there is low confidence from the family in police to do his job."

ASP Alejandro Cowo
"As we have been saying on several occasions that we put our utmost best whenever we deal with any crime. It doesn't matter who it is, we can guarantee to the public that we are out there doing our best to find out who are the persons behind this. Sometimes we are able to solve and sometimes we are not able to solve. This is depending on the availability of witnesses. We believe it happened sometime after midnight as we have received some information about an argument and a commotion at Raccoon Street extension, but unfortunately the body was found until Saturday morning at Neal's Penn Road Extension."

The cops are hoping that persons in the area witnessed the crime, and are willing to come forward with information that could aid their investigation.
