When it comes to politics, Caribbean Shores never a sure thing. And we mean that for both political parties. Since it was created in 1984, it has gone red five times and blue three times. As the division with the most well off constituents, it's considered to be very independent, with voters who vote on issues, not strictly along party lines.
And, on Sunday the UDP was trying to woo those independent minded voters with Leila Peyrefitte - who grew up in the division - and Lee Mark Chang, a successful businessman who they feel can connect with voters.

Turnout was fairly high for a convention, with 1,267 voters.
