Belize's volleyball women have excelled again, winning a silver medal in the Central American U23 Championships played in Managua, Nicaragua this weekend.
The team secured silver in a hotly contested final game where they beat El Salvador in an even match. In the first set of that game, Belize came back from being down 10-3 led by Melanie Palacio, Mya Musa and Fatoumata Camara.
In four appearances in the Central American U23 Championship - this is the first time Belize has come back with a medal.
In 2018, Belize also earned silver in the Central American Women's Volleyball Championship played at the Civic Center.
