Jenelli Frazer's reign as Miss Universe Belize is coming to a close, and 8 Belizean women from different parts of the country are already cued up to take her place.
They will participate in the Miss Universe Belize Pageant, which takes place on September 6th at the Belize City Civic Center.
Even though that's a few months away, the coordinators of the pageant decided that the country needs to get to know who the contestants are. So, they held a big reveal this evening at the Bliss Center for the Performing Arts. 7News was there, and 7 out of the 8 hopeful introduced themselves to us. Here's what they had to say about their reasons for wanting to become the new Miss Universe Belize:
