And - in another southern killing - police are looking for a suspect in the apparent execution of Dangriga resident Edwin Felix Nazario.
As we told you on Friday, the 45 year old was in the parking lot of the Southern Regional Hospital, when a gunman pulled up on a motorbike and shot him multiple times in the back.

"So far police have detained several persons and are seeking one more person which we believe can assist in the investigation."

"Is there any indication that there may be drug motivations in this murder?"
ACP Joseph Myvette
"Well, so far, we have not yet been able to establish a motive but yes, indeed, that information was given to us and that is one of the leads that is being followed at this time."

"Are you guys aware that his step sons may have had an altercation with persons in Pomona earlier in the week that may as well be seen as a motive?"
ACP Joseph Myvette
"We are also looking at that, as that information too was given to us. So, we are looking to exhaust that motive to see whether or not that was the case."

"Do you all believe that he was tricked into going there to pick up someone?"
ACP Joseph Myvette
"Well, at this point in time I will not comment on that but obviously what he went there to do was to assist someone whose vehicle was broken down; that is my understanding."
Based on bullet casings recovered at the scene, police believe he was shot with a prohibited .45 pistol.
