The Special Branch in Corozal got 2 guns and several rounds of live rounds of ammunition off the streets of that northern town.
Last week Friday, officers from the Corozal Special Branch conducted operations targeting known criminals and drug traffickers living in that municipality. That led them to visit an unfinished house in the White Cocal Area. After searching the property, the officers found a plastic bag that contained 7 live rounds of 9mm ammunition, and another bag, which contained a chrome and white .22 pistol. No one was in the area, and so the items were deposited as found property.
The officers also conducted a search of an empty lot in the Port Saul area, and that led them to find a .38 Smith and Wesson pistol, which was wrapped in a gray t-shirt. Again, no one was around during the discovery, and this weapon was deposited as found property.
