Alex Balona is the PUP Standard bearer for Cayo Central - and on Sunday he was in the thick of a tense political fight in the villages of San Antonio and Esperanza.
And, in the head of it, Balona allegedly spat on one of his political rivals, Bobby Montero - who is UDP area rep Rene Montero's son. This cell phone video captures the ugly moment.
The younger Montero filed a police report and we have confirmed that Alex Balona was today charged for common assault.
The PUP won San Antonio, the UDP won Esperanza.
