The Government has released the list of public and bank Holidays for 2020, and the weekend warriors will be happy to note that there will be 9 different holiday weekends next year.
The first holiday falls on midweek on Wednesday for New Years Day, January 1st. Then Monday, March 9th is National Heroes and Benefactors Day.
Good Friday, April 10th, starts off the Easter Holiday weekend, which ends on Monday, April 10th.
Friday, May 1st is Labour Day, and the next one after that is Monday, May 25th, which will be celebrated as Commonwealth day in lieu of Saturday, May 24th.
Another single holiday falls on Thursday, September 10th for St. George's Caye Day, and you'll get to celebrate an extended Independence Day weekend since September 21st falls on a Monday.
Monday, October 12th is Pan-American Day, so another 3-day weekend, but you'll only get 1 day on Thursday, November 19th, for Garifuna Settlement Day.
The final extended holiday weekend for 2020 will be Christmas Day, which falls on Friday, December 25th, and Monday, December 28th, which will be celebrated as Boxing Day in lieu of Saturday, December 26th.
