Kevon’s Comeback At Traffic
posted (July 25, 2019)
He held the job as former Belize City Traffic Manager for over 10 years, almost half of the 23 years he worked in the traffic department. But, 10 months ago, the PUP City Council shuffled the deck and sent Jenkins over to the Sanitation Department - a much lower profile posting.

It was seen then as part of the PUP council changing things up after four UDP terms in City Hall. But, now they've kind of changed it right back. It was announced today that Jenkins is back at traffic. A City Council posting says that "The Belize City Council Traffic Enforcement Team checked vehicle window tinting this morning. It adds, quote, "The new enforcement manager, Kevan Jenkins, and his team were assembled by Mayor Bernard Wagner to uphold the rules and standards that govern traffic in Belize City so that order and safety are maintained."

We are told Jenkins was also brought back to bring back up the department's revenue - which means more pressure for drivers and vehicle owners.
