Murder Suspect On The Run Has History of Violence
posted (July 29, 2019)
Now the ex-common law husband has a history of violence. According to Flowers' relatives, he has threatened to kill her several times and has even pulled a gun on her sisters and other relatives.

He had been charged with aggravated assault with a firearm. Today at the morgue, we spoke to Flowers' sister and she gave more insight into their abusive relationship including a harrowing incident that happened just a couple days ago. We also spoke to Flowers' 18 year old daughter about the tragic loss of yet another parent.

Desiree Jones, Sister
"The circumstance that surrounded my sister's death: 1) she was not in a relationship with the guy. 2) I must and I want 6to make it clear that the young man that was in that house was her cousin. It was not a mate or anything of that sort. I must put that out there. Actually that young man is very innocent. He went down to Dangriga that day for a funeral and he didn't had any way to stay for the night and he was in BDF with my sister in the past. They knew each other, they are cousins. She told him that she had extra rooms, you could stay here for the night. So for people out there speculating that she was caught cheating, its far-fetched and it makes me very angry because that was never the situation."

"Now, the abusive relationship. My sister was in an abusive relationship for quite some time, she tried to come out, but thinking of her situation brought me back to that poem "I got flowers today." Every day you go back you get flowers, you sweet up, then the situation repeats itself. It's like same script, different cast and eventually he killed her. Some time ago my sister and her son at the wee hours of the morning they had to run for their lives. They found themselves behind a school in Independence in the drain seeking cover, trying to call the police. She calls her family. It was us from Belize City trying to get the police in Independence to go and look for them, because he was around in Independence looking for her."

"My sister, she experienced so many types of abuse. She tried to come out, she tried her best to get out of it and just when she decide enough was enough and she was not going to take him back, he decided if I can't have you, no one else will and what makes me so angry is the fact that he was living with someone else. He already had moved on with his life. So that makes him a coward who try to control a situation. But knowing the woman my sister was, she was a strong independent woman. She was that woman to sit around and say oh if he leaves me what will I do. She got up and she worked hard for her 2 kids."

"Couple days ago before my sister murder, he broke into the house, the room and he held her up with a knife at her throat. I saw the messages my sister sent to my cousin that also lives in Dangriga and she said that he came in and he put the knife at my throat and I said to him, it's over and she stood her grounds. But I must say this: He knew that my sister was a fighter. So that Sunday when he went to that house, he went with all intentions to kill. This family we are not going to seek any revenge. I think of karma for him. She is a serious woman and I just hope when karma bites him in the rear end he can deal with the venom that comes along with it and I just ask the Lord to be with my family in this hard time. I'm telling you it's not easy. Right now it's taking everything to just keeps us going."

Kenishe Jones, Daughter
"It's difficult, because we have no one when we wake up in the morning to text us and tell us I love you. I still doesn't believe she is dead. He doesn't realize that he took away my mom from us and we needed her the most in our lives, because we lost our father 4 years ago and now my mom is gone and we have nobody else, only my aunts are left as a mother and father figure, because of what he did, but what he did was wrong and I wish they catch him."

Flowers was originally from Belize City but moved to Dangriga for work. As you heard, police are looking for the ex-common law husband.
