One week ago, police put out a wanted poster for Emmerson Garnett. Police said that he was wanted for the murder of clothing vendor, 53 year old Jose Hilario Diaz.
Well, the 28 year old Freetown Road resident was caught and today he was charged with Diaz's murder.
Chief Magistrate, Sharon Fraser remanded him until September 30.
Diaz was shot and killed after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17th. He was tending his stall at the corner of Cemetery Road and Mosul Street, when a gunman walked up and shot him in his face. There were no words exchanged and no robbery attempt.
Last week a second person, 23 year old Leroy Haulze, was charged for abetment to this same murder and he was also remanded.
