Malpagos, beware! We say that because today, Credit master systems, a collection agency established in 1993, launched its premier app at its sister company JL’s Quickloan. 

The creator hopes it will aid in the economic growth and development of Belize by assisting businesses and consumers in making more informed decisions.  But, for malpagos who come up in the system it means the game’s up - if you haven’t paid one creditor in the system - then all of them will know.

The App will allow users to check on consumers’ Compliant Score (C-Score) prior to extending goods and services which includes credit, employment, renting, leasing or any relationship where a person’s integrity is in “questionâ€￾.

The system keeps track of complaints that have been lodged by the private and public sector against consumers and the number of complaints that have been settled.

"And now we have seen that credit master system plays an important role in the development of Belize. And so with that we thought we need a complete information system because over the years we’ve been gathering information and storing this information and saying: what are we going to do with this information? So we decided that we needed to share it with the business community, the private and the public sector."

"And so, after keeping track of these complaints that have been lodged, we compiled it together and were able to come up with a complaint score, which is the C-score. And the C-score is comprised of two numbers, the first number is the amount of complaints that have been lodged against you, the second number is the amount of complaints that have been settled. In addition to that it also has a negative and a positive. A negative is an indication that the person has made no payments. So for example if there is a person that has two zero negatives that would mean that two complaints have been lodged against him and there have been no payments towards those debts. If a person has two zero positives that would indicate that the person is making payments toward the debt."

"We have now in partnering with smart, we are now have the CMS info Net App that is available on your Cell phone. Now this is only available to speed net telephone users at this moment at the cost of $2.50. You would simply go to google play store and install the CMS info Net App and once the app is installed on your phone and you have credit, of course. Your able to enter your first name, your last name, your social security number, and your date of birth. This information is then sent to Credit Masters systems and your C-score will be sent back to you."
