A San Pedro Columbia Villager has been detained pending drug charges. Yesterday police conducted searches in the Toledo district where they observed 21-year-old Comelio Chiac throwing an object in some nearby bushes. Chiac was apprehended and returned to the location where Police found a black plastic bag containing 644 grams or 1.4 pounds of suspected cannabis. Chiac has been detained pending charges. Prior to the conclusion of these operations Police also discovered 2,344 grams or 5.1 pounds of weed in neighboring bushes. No one was found in or near the second location. The drugs were deposited as found property.
